Overview
Zion Fire developed a customised fire alarm system for Bridgewater Estate after identifying several gaps and limitations in the client’s existing setup. Solutions Implemented
Zion Fire installed Type 5 devices in bedroom areas and Type 4 devices throughout the remaining zones, ensuring each part of the building received the correct level of detection and notification to meet NZS 4512:2010. Cabling was routed through tight ceiling spaces with careful planning and small adjustments made during installation to suit the as-built conditions.
Zoning was designed around occupancy patterns and floor layouts, and the system was connected to a fully compliant power supply with appropriate backup capacity. After installation, the full system underwent testing and commissioning in line with New Zealand fire safety standards, including verification of all device functions.
At completion, Zion Fire provided all required compliance documentation, including the O&M Manual, PS3, and Third-Party Inspection Certificate, ensuring the system met regulatory requirements and was fully ready for long-term operation.
